Product Description

The 9CrSi steel plate is an alloy tool steel and a low speed low alloy cutting tool steel. 9CsSi has brittleness and hardness, heat sensitivity and surface quenching tendency. The heat treatment of the 9CrSi steel plate is good and the use value will be improved.

9CrSi is a commonly used low alloy tool steel, with high hardenability and hardenability, and high tempering stability. It can be used to manufacture tools with complex shapes, small deformation, high wear resistance and low-speed cutting, such as drill bits, thread tools, reamers, die, tap, roller and roller.


Chemical Components:

Carbon C: 0.85~0.95

Silicon Si: 1.20~1.60

Manganese Mn: 0.30~0.60

Sulfur S :≤0.030

Phosphorus P :≤0.030

Chromium Cr: 0.95~1.25

Nickel Ni: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.25

Copper Cu: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.30


Mechanical Properties

9CrSi steel mechanical properties hardness: annealing, 241 ~ 197HB, indentation diameter 3.9 ~ 4.3mm; 187 ~ 229HB (for thread tools); quenching, ≥ 62HRC


Applications

Mainly used in the manufacture of low-speed cutting tools (such as woodworking tools, bench tools, drills, milling cutters, broaches, etc.) and measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, block gauges, templates, etc.). Measuring tool steel requires high hardness (62 ~ 65HRC), high wear resistance, sufficient toughness, high heat hardness (ie, the cutting tool can maintain high hardness at high temperature); to ensure the accuracy of measurement, the measuring tool is required The cutting tool steel has good dimensional stability.
