The epoxy resin coating effectively isolates corrosive media such as water, acids, alkalis, and salts, fundamentally solving the problems of rust and scaling in ordinary steel pipes. Its designed service life can reach over 50 years.
Smooth inner wall and high conveying efficiency: The very smooth inner wall of the coating significantly reduces fluid transport resistance, making it less prone to scaling and microbial growth, thus ensuring flow rate and saving energy.
Good temperature resistance: The modified epoxy resin coating can generally be used for extended periods in a temperature range of -30℃ to 200℃, suitable for hot and cold water and fire-fighting environments.
Combining the advantages of steel and plastic: It possesses the high strength and rigidity of steel pipes, as well as the corrosion resistance and smooth inner wall properties of plastic pipes, making it a pipe material with excellent comprehensive performance.
Typical Structure and Manufacturing Process: The most common structure for this type of steel pipe is an "internal and external coating" structure. During production, the steel pipes used as the base material first undergo rigorous sandblasting and rust removal to achieve high cleanliness and roughness standards, ensuring coating adhesion. Subsequently, epoxy resin powder is evenly coated onto the steel pipe surface, heated to 200-250℃, using an electrostatic spraying process. The powder melts and flows upon heating, and finally, it is cured at high temperature to form a dense anti-corrosion coating.
A more advanced design is a "zinc + epoxy" dual-coating structure. It first thermally sprays a zinc layer (as a base coat) onto the steel pipe surface, followed by an epoxy resin top coat. In this way, even if the outer epoxy coating is damaged during transportation or construction, the underlying zinc layer can provide cathodic protection to the steel pipe substrate through a "self-sacrificing" mechanism, further ensuring the reliability of corrosion protection.
